Hi all...very new to reverse engineering. I am a VBA programmer myself and looking to learn C++ / C# in the near future (along with Python if time permits).

I have some software called CaseWare IDEA v8.3. This requires a HASP HL dongle to run. This is a huge burdon and I would like to remove this requirement, or build an emulator - the former being more attractive than the latter.

Failing this I have a more than adequate 'student edition' of CaseWare IDEA v7 (which contains all functionality I need) which does NOT require HASP at all but - but the import of records is limited to a 1,000. This should be unlimited (within reason) as with the non-student version seven.

How can I achieve either of these aims?
